Earlier this year, I participated in Moving Design, a collective of designers with a mission to encourage environmental sustainability in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood. For the initiative, I designed a poster to entice West Loop residents to try composting food scraps—a simple yet very rewarding environmental practice.
The poster, designed to mimic the WPA action posters of the 1930s, has minimal graphics and a direct message. To compliment both, I collaborated with Tyler Deal of Idiot Pull to use his original printing method—spice inks using cinnamon and paprika!
